On 20 January 2019 the Antwerpse Raad van Kerken (ARK) held their service for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity at St Boniface. This was attended by representatives from Antwerp churches, including Bishop Bonny from the Roman Catholic diocese of Antwerpen.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity takes place each year on 18-25 January. The theme this year is “Justice, and only justice, you shall pursue …” (and thus “Recht voor ogen”) inspired by Deuteronomy 16:18-20.

The worship took the form of Anglican Evensong and included prayers from the organizing group in Indonesia. The music was sung by a mixed choir – the St Boniface choir, and singers from other churches. We practiced together in the afternoon before the service.

There were over 100 people present and they enjoyed the fellowship of a reception afterwards.
